About the Role

As a Business Analyst Intern in a multi-cultural agency, you will be exposed to a variety of client projects ranging from B2C and B2B businesses across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

Apart from working with clients from a wide spectrum of industries, he or she will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the Founder and team to expand the practice and support businesses as they embark on a transformational journey to navigate the complexities and uncertainties of their business environment. Job Description

  • Work on assigned tasks such as market research, analysing data and deriving insights for operational improvement

  • Support Commercial reporting and provide business insights in areas including but not limited to Revenue Analytics, Profitability Analysis & Scenario & Break-even analysis

  • Support management in designing and implementing the overall financial and business plan

  • Analyse financial data and apply quantitative techniques to derive break-even analysis and assess risks to solve business problems

  • Document any progress or findings and provide regular updates to the team

  • Develop a diagnostic model to identify key drivers of revenue performance and discover the root cause of what’s obstructing and enabling the client’s current sales performance

  • Draw insights to review and develop business growth strategies for the firm and clients as well as improve their competitiveness in the market.

  • Perform sales data analysis, market & trend analysis, market sizing and competitive analysis as well as qualitative research in support of the different client projects.

  • Create Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis including ratios, profitability, and capital structure analysis

  • Building scenarios and performing Sensitivity Analysis with outlines of worst-case or best-case future (3-year forecast/timeframe)

  • Conduct Break Even Analysis with a detailed financial plan, unit economics, revenue to cover fixed and variable expenses of the business and Risk Mitigation analysis

  • Develop a Financial Business Plan based on past analysis and future projections from strategy recommendations

  • Build analytical models or dashboards to track effective sales management. This model will also support the coaching conversation between sales/business leaders and sales professionals.

  • Conduct knowledge sharing with the team on project findings.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualification and qualities:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics (with Data Analytics) or any other relevant discipline.

  • Strong analytical aptitude (basic SQL, Excel, Tableau Software and data visualization).

  • Software programming using Python or others is preferred

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills, preferably the ability to develop and deliver consulting presentations. Fluency in English is mandatory.

  • Strong appetite to work in a startup environment and comfortable with fast pace changes & ambiguous working environment.

  • Resourcefulness in exploring analytical tools to help clients to determine opportunity headroom.

  • Keep up to date with new technology trends which will help clients with digital transformation efforts

  • Strong appetite for problem-solving, bottom-line oriented thinking (problem sizing and impact), a thinker who can clarify, understand and re-state problems.
